healing journey

Healing is not a place where we arrive, but rather a process in which we engage. There is no final destination. The idea of steps, stages, or point A to point B, can limit our true experience and growth.

Antoinette

"Most of the time we have to step in with coping skills, but in that process, kind of the acceptance area, there comes this point where you don't do anything other than sit, experience, and release it."

Sara

"The non linearity is real- the non linearity is very, very real"

Oak

“That's the biggest point that I have- just treating survivors as the people they are. We are not our hurt and our trauma and all of the awful things that have happened to us.”

Azalea

“You've left, but you don't get to leave him fully because you share a child together”

Foxglove

“I was targeted because I was a trans woman. Not because I was anybody else, not because I look like anybody else, but because of that's who I was. So my story became more of a story of a trans woman's survival.”

Tomicka

“It is like a broken roller coaster- a rickety, broken rollercoaster ride that you know, with some moments on it, you feel safe, and secure, and okay- and next moment, you're like, oh sh*t, is this thing gonna fall?”

Elderberry

“The most surprising? That I can- that I can get out and do it.”
