sharing your story

The stories we craft for ourselves and others are our best attempts to make sense of the varied moments of our lives. How our story is told, both in autobiographical and biographical form, can be one of our greatest agents of change.

Palmetto

“How can I tell my story so other people who have been exposed to that know they can stop it right there.”

Kim

“Not realizing, that every time I spoke- every time I gave- it lessened the weight on my shoulders. It got some of that gunk out of me that I had stuffed for so long.”

Amy

“I don't want to focus on the ugliness  because it just makes me feel...  ways that I don't want to feel anymore”

Liana

I'm pursuing that distinction,  and trying to find meaning,  and use my story, and my history  to not only better myself, but to  better everyone I come in contact with. And to also find ways to heal.

Jonae

“I think one thing that I'm learning now, is that, that's only a part of the story, but the story is still being written.”

Elderberry

“I survived and now I have to figure out how to become me again.”

Magnolia

“I want to be a voice for survivors in the Deaf community.”
